1. Bangladesh is a country of festivals. Do you agree? If so, how important are festivals in the everyday lives of Bangladeshi people?

Or, what are the main festival of Bangladesh and where have they originated from?

Answer:

Bangladesh is a country of festival and celebrations. Yes, I agree that Bangladesh is a country of festivals. There is a great importance and influence of these festivals on the everyday lives of Bangladeshi people. Because, over the years people of Bangladesh enjoy different types of festivals in which some are religious festivals and some are national festivals and anniversaries.

Religious festivals:

  • Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha are the biggest Muslim festivals.
  • Eid-E-Miladunnabi, Muharram and Shab-E-Barat are also remarkable festivals here.
  • The Hindus enjoy Durga Puja,
  • the Christians enjoy Christmas and
  • the Buddhists enjoy Buddha Purnima.

National festivals:

  • Independence Day,
  • Victory Day,
  • Bangla New Year, are celebrated as national festivals in this country.

All these festivals are celebrated very warmly by the people of Bangladesh. These festivals bring happiness, hope, affinity and good relationship among the people. So, it can be said that festivals have a great impact on the daily lives of Bangladeshi people.

2.What do you mean by celebration?

Answer:

The definition of a celebration is an act or event designed to observe something or make something special and enjoyable. A celebration is an event which very different meaning by its observing sense like to rejoice in or have special festivities to mark (a happy day, event etc.), to observe (a birthday, anniversary etc.), to perform (a Solemn or religious ceremony), to praise publicly; proclaim. There are lots of celebration like birthday, anniversary, New-year, Eid, Puja, religious event etc.

However, by celebrating a day we can remove our monotony and boredom. We also can build up our social and family bonding by the help of various celebration.

3. Write a passage on International Mother Language Day.

Answer:

Our Language Day, Amar Ekushey February was declared as International Mother Language Day by the UNESCO on November 17, 1999. Our mother tongue Bengali got international recognition on this day. In this occasion we remind those heroic sons of the country for their glorified sacrice for our mother language. Rafiq, Salam, Barkat and Jabbar were the part of them who sacrificed their lives on that day.

The Pakistani ruler shot them to death on February 21, 1952 as they raised massive protest against the than Pak ruler for the heinous motive pays homage to these great sons for their supreme sacrifice.

Since the day of its recognition by the UNESCO the people of the world have come to know about our profound love for out mother tongue as well as our struggle for it.

The people of the world also pay their homage to the martyrs of the language movement. We are proud of our mother language and we also feel proud of being Bangladeshi.

4. Who launched the Bengali New-year festival and how was celebrated?

Answer:

The Bangla New-year festival, which is known as ‘Pohela Boishakh’, has been celebrated for more than five hundred years. The tradition started at the time of emperor Akbar in 1556. At this time people used to pay all the money they owed the last day of the year. On New-year Day, landlords gave sweet food their tenants and there were fair and other festivities. The tradition has continued for over a half a millennium and is still today a day of celebration and fun.

5. “Baishakhi Mela is the chief attractions of all classes of people.” Give your reason in favour of it.

Answer:

“Baishakhi Mela is the chief attraction of all classes of people” I abosoutly agree with this statement. I would like to give some reason in favor of it. The reasons are given bellow:

  • The Mela holds an image of the rural Bangladesh which is held every year in the month of Baishakh. It is one of the leading attractions of village life. The Baishakhi Mela is long last for the whole month of Baishakh.
  • There are a number of stalls where we get various things. Such as traditional handicrafts, bamboo flutes potters, wooden things, funny goods, sweetmeats, dolls, toys etc. Men, women and children enjoy a lot and purchase their goods from this Mela.
  • Cultural functions are also arranged on the Mela. For examples the traditional Bangla folk-song, Jaree song, Bhawaia song etc.
  • Special circus parties and magic shows are also organized.

In the conclusion, I can say that nowadays Baishakhi Melas are also held establishes a relationship between a village life and city life. The Mela is regarded as a great source of joy and in towns and cities which happiness for the people.

6. Write four sentences on your last celebration using past form.

Answer:

A few days ago I attended the wedding ceremony of my cousin Raihan. It took place at Narsingdi. On the appointed day amidst laughter and joy the bridegroom party started for the bride’s house in the evening. When we reached at the bride’s house, the bride’s family members and other relatives received us cordially. Then the Kazi performed the formalities relating to the marriage ceremony. After the ceremony we were entertained with delicious dinner.

7. Write the importance of International Mother Language Day.

Answer:

This day has a great significance. On 21 February 1952, during the time of Pakistani rule some valiant sons of our country laid down their lives for our mother tongue, Bangla. The language movement gave us the spirit of liberation and we became independent in 1971. Since in November 1999, this day has been recognized by the UNESCO as the International Mother Language Day.

8. What is the aim of international Mother Language Day?

Answer:

In November 1999 the 21st of February was named the International Mother Language Day. The day aims to celebrate different languages and to increase understanding between cultures.

9. What are the old New Year traditions that have disappeared in recent years?

Answer:

Some of the old New-year traditions that have disappeared in recent years are: no longer thousands of beautiful kites fly above the cities in New Year day. Some popular village games and sports such as horse racing, pigeon flying and boat racing are also disappearing.

The internet is comparatively a new phenomenon. We can do a lot of things using the internet.

Here are four things that can be done on the internet:

2. Buying and selling things through different sites like-OLX, Bikroy.com etc.

3. Searching and applying for any job via the internet.

4.Collecting any textual, audio or video information.

Yes, I have used Facebook and the reasons for using Facebook are:

3. I get an opportunity to mix with new people and make friend with them.

2. What is your importance of internet in your DPED course?

Answer:

Internet, the most useful technology of modern time which helps us not only in our daily lives but also in professional lives. Educational, teaching or training purposes like DPED course it is widely used to gather information and to do research or add to the knowledge of various subjects. Such as:

  • I can collect my study materials from internet.
  • I can communicate with other instructors and teachers who are in DPED course and can share knowledge and feelings with them.

That’s why I can say internet is very important for my DPEd course.

3. How can you make a clear difference between working online and working offline?

Answer:

Working Online means, the job doing virtually by computer, laptop or mobile phone through internet and website. Working offline means, the job doing physically in a shop or office. And it’s a process of pen, paper and pencil.

4. Do you think that letters are far better than emails? give your reason.

Answer:

I think that letters are far better than emails. People used to think carefully about what they wrote and how they wrote it before they sent it. These days, they just write quickly without checking that they haven’t made any mistakes in their fact or spelling. They’re just in too much of a hurry to get on with the next thing to take the time to get it night.

Answer:

The internet is an amazing resource; it can pretty much tell you anything. I do a lot of research for work and for my personal interests too.

Four things which can be done on the internet are:

1. knowledge transfer

 3.surffing and browsing

4. streaming.

As a teacher profession I have to share too many data and resource every day with my students. It is a modern tool which is convening effective roles as a teaching aids. Teachers and educators can find and use those tools in their teaching and learning process. As a result, the learning process becomes effective, interesting and as well as make variety in teaching style.

Five reason of sharing data and resources are given below :

1.data sharing encourage more connection and collaboration between the researchers.

2. It is important for new findings within the field.

3. helps scholars without the resources to themselves collect the data they need for their research to get data they can use to carry out their query /work.

4. Allows others to evaluate, validate as trustworthy.

Inland waterways:

Bangladesh has more than 700 rivers, which crisscross the country. It has one of the largest island waterway networks in the world. It is a safe, cheap and environmentally friendly way to get around. One of the most famous methods of travel in Bangladesh is the ‘Rocket’ service from Dhaka to the south.

City transport:

Travelling in and around Dhaka and other big cities isn’t always easy. There is a lot of traffic on the roads, and traffic jams are common. There are many buses, bicycles, cycle vans and taxis, also cycle rickshaws on the roads. As a result, to create traffic jam.

Air:

There are 11 airports in Bangladesh, which link up all the major towns and cities with Dhaka. The national airline is called ‘Biman Bangladesh’.

Rail:

Bangladesh railways is mostly a passenger railway. It is busiest on the route between Chittagong and Dhaka, the nation’s most important transport corridor.

Bangladesh is a land of heritage. Historically, many cultures and reputation has received across the country.  The ruins of magnificent cities and monuments were enduring in many parts of the country by the dying reigns of rulers still bear proof to the richness of its cultural heritage.

There are full of nature’s bounties, borderland hills, virgin forests and innumerable rivers and their brunches in our country which are making the world’s largest delta.

The area is famous for the beautiful handicrafts for sale in the region. Sajek valley is one of the most tourist attractive place in Khagrachari district. The towns of Rangamati and Bandarban are two of the most popular places for tourists in the area.

My favourite sport:

There is no restriction for a big space also. I can pass my leisure time with my friends and family member by football. The question of land reforms, state language, inter-wing economic and administrative disparities, provincial autonomy, the defense of east Pakistan and many other consequential questions had been straining the relations between the two wings of Pakistan ever since independence of the country from Britain in 1947.

It is also home to many different species of birds, mammals, insects, reptiles and fishes. Over 120 species of fish and over 260 species of birds have been recorded there.

Lesson 1: Teacher’s life: What inspires every child?

1. Write a paragraph about yours teaching life.

Teachers are responsible for planning and then evaluating student performance. Every child needs a Champion; someone who believes in them and encourage them. I am a teacher at Satgoan primary School since 2016.Include me there are 5 Assistant teachers working in the school and this year we have got four hundred students. I live 5 kilometers away from school and the road attach with my school is muddy so I have to walk to go to school. I have home at around 8 a.m. and it is usually takes me about an hour to get there. when I go there I unlock the classrooms and the office and then I hoist the national flag. After that, I start preparing everything I need for my class and at 9:30 I ring the bell to start the school day. My fast lesson is with class 5 students. I give them extra math and English lessons. In the second shift I teach English to class 4 and science to class 3. In my lessons I use a lot of group work and pair work. I usually get home at about 6. I have a snack and then I cook dinner for my family. I take dinner at about 9 p.m. After that I prepare my next day’s class activities. I go to bed at about 11 p.m. and get up before 5 a.m. and say my morning prayer. I think I have a very busy life.
